McDonald's Boo Buckets Are Back Again This Year: How To Get Them

McDonald’s fans, beware: this season just got a whole lot spookier.

The fan-favorite Boo Bucket Halloween pails are officially returning for another year, and it’s frightening just how excited customers already are about the spine-tingling announcement.

As revealed via Instagram by food news aficionado Markie Devo, the fast food chain will be bringing the Boo Buckets back for a limited time this Halloween season.

“🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” one particularly excited fan wrote on Instagram after hearing the news.

But it gets even better. This year, McDonald’s will also be unleashing a brand new blood-sucking design with the addition of the Vampire Purple Boo Bucket. Plus, all of the usual suspects will return with a new spin on the OG designs, now including Monster Green, Skeleton Orange and Mummy White.

The designs are inspired by the original nostalgic designs: McBoo, McPunk’n and McGoblin, which made their debut in 1986.

For years now, fans have loved to collect their favorite designs, often coming up with creative ways to put them to good use, including spooky home decor and, of course, reusable trick-or-treating pails.

But the beloved pails ghosted us several years ago, only making their grand return during last year’s Halloween season when the Pumpkin, Witch, and Ghost designs brushed off the cobwebs and came back out for 2022.

We know they’ll go scary fast, so be sure to get your very own Boo Bucket in one of the four colors when you order a Happy Meal starting on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at participating McDonald’s locations.
