Good Evening. My name is Jack B Flanders JR. I’m writing because a local man, my father, has been indicted and facing jury trial July 25, 2023 in Florence SC. He currently resides in Swainsboro. It’s my daughter who filed the charges back in 2018. All of my family is from this area. My uncle runs the hospital in Metter and my cousin is a local detective. They have all harbored this secret for years. My father took a plea deal before Covid but the judge refused the deal because it did not reach the mandatory minimum sentencing for the charges pending. He changed his plea and was released pending a new hearing. Well that time has finally come and this is a federal homeland security case due to the incident taking place in Saudi Arabia. I’m hoping you may be interested in shedding some light on what I feel to be a lifelong predator, but most certainly a man who’s already pled guilty once to the charges he’s currently facing at trial. Thank you so very much for your time and hopefully your consideration in the interest of justice. My daughter was 13 & 14 years old at the time. She’s now 21 and still waiting for some semblance of closure to a seemingly never ending nightmare.
