“Gwinnett County Public Schools
Middle school students are no longer allowed to use phones during the school day—not even at lunch. Every high school is now equipped with AI-powered weapon detectors. Central Gwinnett High reopens after a full rebuild.”

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) does not currently have a districtwide policy that explicitly bans cell phones at any level. However, the district will comply with House Bill 340 when it takes effect in July 2026.

Also, Central Gwinnett High School did not undergo a “full” or partial “rebuild.”

I respectfully ask that you correct the incorrect information and note the change right away. Thank you in advance.
