The Gwinnett County Police Department has launched a search operation after an 84-year-old man with an extensive medical history went missing on Friday, July 22nd.
According to police, Donald Hively, a resident of Village Park Assisted Living at 5701 Spalding Drive in unincorporated Peachtree Corners, was last seen around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Police now say Hively wearing a navy-blue short sleeve shirt, blue jean pants, and gray tennis shoes. Hively is believed to be in need of medical care. According to authorities, he does not have a cell phone in his possession, or if he does, it has been switched off
Despite extensive efforts by ground search teams, including officers and the use of K9s, as well as assistance from the Police Aviation Unit, Hively remains missing.
Police are asking the public for any information regarding his whereabouts. Anyone who encounters Hively is encouraged to immediately contact 911.
Authorities have assigned the case number GP230056744 to prioritize the investigation and coordinate efforts. At this time, no additional details about the circumstances surrounding the disappearance have been released.
