Northside Hospital is asking those who have had COVID-19 and recovered from it to consider donating plasma to help patients who are currently infected by the virus.
As positive COVID-19 cases continue to surge across the state, demand for convalescent plasma to help patients fight the virus has never been higher.
“Once the plasma’s infused into a person with an active infection it gives them an immediate immunity against the virus,” said Dr. Kent Holland with the Northside Hospital BMT Program.
If you or someone you know has recovered from COVID-19, Northside Hospital asks that you consider donating plasma to help treat Georgia’s sickest patients.
