ALPHARETTA — A popular Alpharetta playground will be shutting down for two weeks starting Nov. 6.

The City of Alpharetta will close its Wacky World Playground for routine maintenance beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

During the closure contractors and staff will pressure wash and stain the equipment as well as making minor repairs and performing general maintenance.

Alpharetta officials anticipate the work will take about two weeks to complete during which the playground will remain closed.

Residents can use the playground at the Wills Park Recreation Center located on Wills Road or explore the offerings at other parks while Wacky World is closed.
