Coronavirus looms large over second week of school in Georgia

Two Georgia school districts that garnered national attention last week after photos of crowded hallways went viral on social media will begin their second week of school Monday amid the looming shadow of COVID-19. More Cherokee County students test positive for COVID-19

On the third day of school, students at staff members at three Cherokee County Schools have tested positive for coronavirus. The Cherokee County School District sent letters to parents at three schools Wednesday informing them about the positive tests and explaining the measures being taken in each case.
