SAVANNAH — A 62-year-old woman was struck attempting to cross a Savannah street Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the crash that resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian, identified as Diane Parham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At about 6 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at W. Bryan Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that 32-year-old Randolph Bartlett, 32, who was traveling in a 2010 Honda Fit, was making a left turn from W. Bryan Street onto southbound MLK Boulevard when his vehicle struck Parham while she was crossing MLK Boulevard from east to west. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
