Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) is leaving the stock market on a sour note.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nancy and husband Paul Pelosi reported a stock value decline of $2.5 million in their year-end financial disclosure form. But alas, such a bill has yet to even see a floor vote.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, Sen Josh Hawley (R-MO)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestreet.com\/politics\/josh-hawley-introduces-pelosi-act-bill-to-ban-congress-members-from-owning-stocks\">introduced legislation<\/a>&nbsp;what would ban stock trading and ownership by members of Congress.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pelosi and her husband, venture capitalist Paul Pelosi, are some of the most active stock market traders in Congress, according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/housestockwatcher.com\/summary_by_rep\/Hon.%20Nancy%20Pelosi\">some estimates<\/a>, so it has taken her some time to come around to this way of thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re a free market economy,&#8221; Pelosi said when asked about spouses of congressional members being allowed to trade.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\"><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&quot;We&#39;re a free-market economy.
