\u00a0Georgia gas prices<\/a>\u00a0continue to decline at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia drivers are now paying an average price of\u00a0$3.52\u00a0per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline<\/a>. Monday’s\u00a0state average<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a011\u00a0cents\u00a0less\u00a0than a week ago, 59 cents less than a month ago, and 56 cents more than this time last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It now costs\u00a0$52.80\u00a0to fill a\u00a015-gallon tank of regular gasoline. Drivers are now paying less than a dollar more to fill-up at the pump compared to last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGeorgia pump price average is trending 43 cents lower than the national retail price,\u201d said Montrae Waiters, AAA-The Auto Club Group spokeswoman. \u201cDeclining global fuel demand and summer travel nearing an end continues to influence lower gas prices. Also, crude oil supply remains tight. It is uncertain whether gas prices will continue to fall in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National Average Falls below $4 per Gallon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since last Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has decreased by 11 cents to $3.95.\u00a0According to the Energy Information Administration, gas demand increased from 8.54 million barrels a day to 9.12 million barrels a day. However, the rate is 307,000 barrels a day lower than last year. Moreover, according to EIA, total domestic gasoline stocks decreased by 5 million barrels to 220.3 million barrels. Although gasoline demand has increased and supply has tightened, lower oil prices have helped lower pump prices. If oil prices continue to decline, drivers will likely continue to see pump prices decrease. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most expensive Georgia metro markets <\/strong>\u2013 Savannah ($3.65), Hinesville-Fort Stewart ($3.64) and Atlanta<\/a> ($3.57).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Least expensive Georgia metro markets <\/strong>\u2013 Valdosta ($3.32), Warner Robins ($3.30) and Albany<\/a> ($3.29).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
