Gwinnett<\/a> police have arrested a 20-year-old Stone Mountain man in connection with the slaying of Bradley Coleman at a QuikTrip in Peachtree Corners<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gwinnett Police Department arrested David Jarrad Booker. Detectives from Gwinnett Homicide collaborated with the Gwinnett Sheriff\u2019s Office Fugitive Unit to locate and arrest Booker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gwinnett District Attorney\u2019s Office extends\u00a0condolences and promises vigorous prosecution of this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Back Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. on July 10, officers assigned to the West Precinct were dispatched to a \u201cperson shot\u201d call at the QuikTrip convenience store at\u00a05255 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners. When officers arrived, they found Coleman lying near a black passenger vehicle at the air pumps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believed that the victim arrived on the property in an attempt to put air in his tires. He pulled\u00a0his vehicle in so that the passenger side was nearest the machine. While he was servicing his vehicle, a black four-door passenger vehicle backed in directly next to the victim\u2019s car.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, the vehicle was occupied by three people. One of the occupants of the suspect\u2019s\u00a0vehicle got out and entered the Coleman’s car in the driver\u2019s seat. Seeing what was happening, Coleman tried to stop his vehicle from being stolen. The suspect and the Coleman engaged in a physical altercation when the victim entered through the passenger\u00a0side. A second suspect got out of the vehicle and got involved.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this was occurring, the driver of another vehicle (not knowing that the crime was taking place) positioned his vehicle so that he could use\u00a0the air pump once the Coleman was done. In doing so, his vehicle was directly behind the victim\u2019s car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As one of the suspect\u2019s tried to back up Coleman’s car, he collided with the waiting vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, the suspect got out of the vehicle, and one\u00a0of the suspects shot Coleman. Both suspects got back into their vehicle and drove off.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[mailerlite_form form_id=8]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
