The all-new Treetop Tykes Trail presented by Kaiser Permanente offers children under 48 inches tall a ropes course adventure.

With the assistance of a parent or guardian, children will zip, zig, zag, and balance as they navigate a course of rope ladders, bridges, nets, and tightrope-style foot lines three to four feet off the ground, all while secured and tethered with full-body harness and sling line to a continuous overhead tracking system.

“We’re looking forward to summer with another new reason to visit Zoo Atlanta and spend time outdoors surrounded by the more than 1,000 animals who call the Zoo home. The Zoo is a destination for all ages, and every day, we are thrilled by the sight of small children making those important first connections with animals and the natural world. Treetop Tykes Trail offers an experience just for them, without their having to stand on the sidelines watching older siblings and friends,” said Raymond B. King, President and CEO. “We are very grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, Kaiser Permanente, for their commitment to encouraging healthy, active outdoor activities for families.”

Parents or guardians will walk alongside their children, without needing to climb over or under any of the elements, as they navigate the course at their own pace. Treetop Tykes Trail is not open to individuals over 48 inches tall.

Treetop Tykes Trail is the miniature answer to the Zoo’s Treetop Trail presented by Kaiser Permanente, a two-level challenge culminating in a zipline. Just in time for summer, joining Treetop Trail’s more than 20 elements are new challenge elements: three that will test participants’ balance and a bell for participants to celebrate success. Guests must be over 48 inches tall to attempt Treetop Trail.

Tickets to Treetop Tykes Trail, which will be available as an add-on to Zoo admission, are $7.95 for Zoo Atlanta Members; $9.95 for non-Members. Children must be accompanied by an attendant parent or guardian. The experience will be open daily, weather and staffing dependent.

Learn more or plan a visit on zooatlanta.org. Zoo Atlanta will close early on Saturday, May 28, in preparation for Brew at the Zoo.
