{"id":31266,"date":"2021-12-17T15:30:39","date_gmt":"2021-12-17T20:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=31266"},"modified":"2021-12-17T15:31:09","modified_gmt":"2021-12-17T20:31:09","slug":"15-year-old-arrested-for-threat-against-lambert-high-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=31266","title":{"rendered":"15-year-old arrested for threat against Lambert High School"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On December 16, students at Lambert High School made staff aware of a 15-year-old who was threatening to cause harm to students at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Forsyth County Sheriff&#8217;s Department, the student attempted to solicit\u00a0a gun from another student to carry out the assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, a juvenile arrest warrant was taken against the student for Terroristic Threats, which is a felony. He was taken into custody and transported to the Regional\u00a0Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThanks to the actions of a few students, a potential tragedy was avoided. These students had the courage to come forward and report this danger to the staff at the school exemplifying\u00a0See Something, Say Something,\u201d said Sheriff Ron Freeman. \u201cWe will continue to exhaustively investigate all threats and those making them will be arrested.\u00a0 Our 43 dedicated School Resource Deputies work daily alongside our school partners to keep Forsyth County\u00a0Schools Safe.\u00a0 Kudos to the Lambert High School staff for their quick action and assistance in this investigation.\u00a0 No other students were involved in this threat and the danger from it has been eliminated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>School threats have increased nationwide in the past few months and Forsyth County is not alone.
