{"id":29466,"date":"2021-09-30T17:01:09","date_gmt":"2021-09-30T21:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=29466"},"modified":"2021-09-30T17:01:15","modified_gmt":"2021-09-30T21:01:15","slug":"lane-closure-ahead-at-i-75-i-85-interchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=29466","title":{"rendered":"Lane closure ahead at I-75, I-85 interchange"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Georgia Department of Transportation will close one ramp lane on the I-75 southbound exit ramp to I-85 northbound in midtown Atlanta, Fulton County, this Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These closures are related to the safety improvements project in the area, including the placement of high-friction surface treatment on the ramps.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one left lane will be closed on the ramp from I-75 southbound to I-85 northbound on Friday, Oct. 12 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These closures will help ensure safety of work crews and drivers in the area. This $1.025 million safety project will apply high-friction surface treatment to the project area, correct roadway drainage issues and upgrade roadway signage that slows traffic speeds to 20 mph. \u00a0<br><br>Message boards will give drivers advance notice of the upcoming closures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorists are reminded to expect delays and use alternate routes, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
