Here&#8217;s why"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you live in<a href=\"\/tag\/Glynn-County\"> Glynn County<\/a>, your may start paying less in flood insurance premiums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Glynn County has received notification from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that based on the County\u2019s efforts to improve knowledge of flooding and reduce the potential for flooding the County\u2019s Community\u00a0Rating System has improved from a Class 6 to a Class 5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means an additional five percent discount in standard rated flood insurance premiums for properties in Glynn County totaling a 25% reduction overall for the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flood insurance is available to both property owners and renters and has a 30 day waiting period before it becomes effective. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rates are established by FEMA based upon the flood zone of the property.
