The man then drove away before deputies arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputies found the man on Heath Road and took him into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The charges: <\/strong>The man is facing three charges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Driving under the influence of alcohol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hit and run<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Criminal damage to property<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s important: <\/strong>Under Georgia law, leaving the scene of an accident is a criminal offense. Drivers involved in a crash are required by law to stop and remain at the scene.
