Starting in March, Gwinnett County residents won’t have to take time off work to go to the tag office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf an in-person visit is necessary, Gwinnett residents can now take care of their tax, tag and title work without taking time off work,\u201d Gwinnett Tax Commissioner Tiffany Porter said. \u201cI promised to make tag offices more accessible and this is the first step.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afternoons are typically the busiest times at tag offices, so the hours of operation have been shifted from 8-5 to 9-6, with closing time extended to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Lawrenceville, Norcross and Snellville branches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lawrenceville branch will keep its Tuesday through Saturday schedule, with new Saturday hours of 9-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
