PEACHTREE CORNERS — The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place at the front entrance of a local apartment complex.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers were dispatched to a \u201cperson shot\u201d call at 1700 Hunters Ridge Lane in Peachtree Corners at 11:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a black male laying on the ground with at least one gunshot wound.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A nearby resident reported that his home was penetrated by one of the gunshots. No one inside this apartment was injured.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect in this case is unknown. The name of the victim is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police are asking residents in this apartment complex to report any suspicious activity on any personally owned surveillance cameras.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
