Downtown Lawrenceville is getting a soft reset this week \u2014 not a festival, not a parade, but a film set, with the city itself drafted as background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From Wednesday, September 24 through Saturday, September 27, the city says filming will move through the heart of downtown. Expect temporary closures: sidewalks, parking lots, alleyways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lawrenceville Police will be on site, tasked with keeping both the public and the crew safe while the work gets done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What\u2019s behind the cones and detours? A new Netflix project. Crews and big-name stars are in town shooting a romantic comedy called \u201cJust Picture It,\u201d starring Millie Bobby Brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For residents and businesses, it\u2019s the small frictions that mark a big machine moving through. For the production, it\u2019s the promise of a familiar American downtown that reads well on screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And when the cables are coiled and the closures lift, Lawrenceville goes back to being itself \u2014 until it appears on screen again briefly, as somewhere else entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
