The money was raised through a customer round-up campaign and a 25 percent match from the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wounded Warrior Project Chief Executive Officer Walt Piatt accepted the donation during a check presentation at the Parker\u2019s Kitchen headquarters in Savannah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is what a grateful nation looks like \u2013 communities coming together to honor the brave,\u201d Piatt said. \u201cPartners like Parker\u2019s Kitchen help us change the way our nation cares for veterans and ensure no warrior \u2013 or their family \u2013 is left behind. Thanks to their generosity, we\u2019re empowering local warriors through life-changing programs in mental and brain health, career counseling, benefits, physical wellness and long-term rehabilitative care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The donation is part of a broader charitable effort by Parker\u2019s Kitchen through its Community Fund, which supports nonprofits focused on education, health care, hunger, and veterans.
