A Vidalia woman died Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 280 near East First Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police identified the victim as 45-year-old Melissa Foskey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a statement released by the Vidalia Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 8:42 p.m. Emergency responders treated Foskey at the scene before transporting her to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
