{"id":18994,"date":"2020-10-20T13:43:46","date_gmt":"2020-10-20T17:43:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=18994"},"modified":"2020-10-20T13:43:48","modified_gmt":"2020-10-20T17:43:48","slug":"everything-you-need-to-know-to-vote-early-in-gwinnett-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=18994","title":{"rendered":"Everything you need to know to vote early in Gwinnett County"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After a week of record-setting advance voting turnout in Gwinnett County, Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections\u00a0is reminding those who haven&#8217;t voted where and how they can vote early for the Nov. 3 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advance Voting began Oct. 12 and continues through Oct. 30 every day, including weekends at nine sites around Gwinnett County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible&nbsp;voters may vote&nbsp;at the Voter Registrations and Elections Beauty P. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"\/county\/Baldwin\"   title=\"Baldwin\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"493\">Baldwin<\/a> Building, located at 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200 in Lawrenceville, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. In addition, eight sites are open 7 a.m. to 7&nbsp;p.m. daily. The locations are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bogan Park Community Recreation Center, 2723 North Bogan Road, Buford<\/li><li>Dacula Park Activity Building, 2735 Old Auburn Road, Dacula&nbsp;<\/li><li>George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center, 55 Buford Highway, Suwanee<\/li><li>Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville<\/li><li>Lenora Park Gym, 4515 Lenora Church Road, Snellville<\/li><li>Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center, 4651 Britt Road, Norcross<\/li><li>Mountain Park Activity Building, 1063 Rockbridge Road Stone Mountain<\/li><li>Shorty Howell Park Activity Building, 2750 Pleasant Hill Road Duluth&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estimated wait times for each of these locations are available at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.GwinnettCounty.com\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.GwinnettCounty.com\">GwinnettCounty.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voters can still request an absentee mail ballot for the Nov. 3 General and Special Election through Oct. 30, but elections officials say it\u2019s best to apply as soon as possible. Voting\u00a0by Mail is an option for all voters, not just those who will be out of town.<em>\u00a0<\/em>A completed application must first be received before an absentee ballot is issued. Voters may apply for a mail-in ballot online at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov\/\">BallotRequest.SOS.GA.gov<\/a>,\u00a0use the forms at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gwinnettcounty.com\/web\/gwinnett\/Departments\/Elections\/OnlineElectionsForms\">GwinnettElections.com<\/a>,email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Absentee@GwinnettCounty.com\">Absentee@GwinnettCounty.com<\/a>\u00a0or call 678.226.7210.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voters may return their voted absentee ballot by mail or in one of the 23 official ballot drop boxes. No postage is necessary on ballots placed\u00a0in the drop boxes. The drop boxes have 24-hour surveillance and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. The drop boxes can be found at the Elections Offices, various County parks and recreational facilities and Gwinnett\u00a0County Public Library branches.
