ATLANTA — The popular Fourth of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority announced yesterda that it will forgo hosting its annual July 4th celebration at Centennial Olympic Park as Atlanta and the nation continue to take the necessary precautions to slow and stop the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor the past 22 years, we have proudly hosted the Southeast\u2019s biggest and best Fourth of July fireworks show,\u201d said Frank Poe, GWCCA\u2019s executive director. \u201cThe financial impact of COVID-19 resulted in the tough decision to cancel this year\u2019s event.
