{"id":11108,"date":"2019-09-27T23:28:52","date_gmt":"2019-09-28T03:28:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=11108"},"modified":"2019-09-27T23:29:00","modified_gmt":"2019-09-28T03:29:00","slug":"blue-bayou-to-begin-filming-in-macon-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegeorgiasun.com\/?p=11108","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Blue Bayou&#8217; to begin filming in Macon this week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>MACON &#8212; A movie being called \u201cBlue Bayou,\u201d will be prepping, shooting, and wrapping out in Downtown Macon-Bibb from\u00a0Sept.\u00a028 at 7 a.m.\u00a0through\u00a0Thursday October 4, 2019 at 7 p.m.\u00a0Filming will occur on\u00a0Tuesday, October 1\u00a0from\u00a07 a.m. to 7 p.m.\u00a0inside and outside of the Historic Macon Terminal Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To accommodate the production, portions or all of several streets will be closed for periods of time, and that schedule is listed below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Macon-Bibb County officials want residents to be aware that on the day of filming, there will be two stunt actors playing snipers on the rooftops of a couple of buildings on Cherry Street, but there will be no simulated gunfire. Local law enforcement and dispatchers have been notified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not just our locations that are attracting more and more production companies to our community, it\u2019s the work of our departments and crews, the support of our residents and businesses, and the marketing from Visit Macon,\u201d said Macon-Bibb Mayor Robert Reichert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This production follows several movies and shows that have filmed in Macon-Bibb. This includes the films The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars &amp; Motor Kings, Wise Blood, A Trip to Bountiful, The Crazies, Trouble with the Curve, 42, Need For Speed, The Fifth Wave, The Best of Enemies, and Zombieland: Double Tap. The television shows include Watchmen, Brockmire, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, and Witches of East End.
