Atlanta police want your help identifying the suspect in a fatal shooting

ATLANTA — Detectives with the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit are seeking assistance from the public to help identify a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred on Aug. 7, on Windsor Street SW.

The police department has released photos showing the suspect at the location of the shooting.

According to Atlanta police, officers responded to a report of multiple people shot at at the Dunbar Recreation Center at about 7 p.m.

While officers were on their way, four people were taken to area hospitals by private vehicles. At the scene officers found two adults remaining, one man and one woman, both with gunshot wounds and both were taken to the hospital.

The man later died of his wounds and the woman was in stable condition. The total number of people shot in this incident were three adult females, two adult males, and one juvenile female. This investigation is continuing.

One of the women died from her wounds the next day.

Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000.
