One dead, two injured in shooting at Macon convenience store

MACON — A 19-year-old is dead and two others are injured after a shooting Monday night at the Friends Food Mart on Houston Ave. in Macon.

The shooting occurred just after 8:45 p.m.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, three men later identified as 19-year-old Braxton Cole, 19-year-old Roderick Felton and 23-year-old Deroderick Collins were shot inside the store.

The three victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance where Felton later died from his injuries.

Cole is listed in critical condition and Collins is listed in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding this incident is still under investigation.
