Lane closures and detours this week near I-285 and Ga. 400 interchange

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close lanes on I-285 eastbound and westbound and SR 400 northbound and southbound for activities to include roadway, noise barrier and bridge construction. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas.

Work schedule updates can be made daily. Check project webpage often for the latest updates. Detour information is shown using red text.

  • Motorists traveling on I-285 westbound exit ramp to Roswell Road should take the exit to Riverside Drive (Exit 24). Motorists should take the third exit in the Riverside Drive roundabout to I-285 eastbound, then continue on I-285 eastbound to the Roswell Road exit (Exit 25).

I-285 westbound to SR 400 southbound (map)

  • Motorists on I-285 westbound should remain on I-285 westbound before exiting at Riverside Drive. Motorists should turn left on Riverside Drive, then left on to the I-285 eastbound ramp. Motorists should remain on I-285 eastbound before exiting at SR 400 southbound.

I-285 westbound to Ashford Dunwoody Road (map)

  • Motorists on I-285 westbound to Ashford Dunwoody Road should continue on I-285 westbound before exiting at Peachtree Dunwoody Road (Exit 28). Motorists should turn left on to Peachtree Dunwoody Road then left again on to Lake Hearn Drive. Motorists should continue on Lake Hearn Drive to access Ashford Dunwoody Road.

SR 400 northbound to I-285 westbound (map)

  • Motorists on SR 400 northbound to I-285 westbound should take the I-285 eastbound ramp (Exit 4A) and continue to Ashford Dunwoody Road (Exit 29). Motorists should turn left on the ramp to I-285 westbound.

Ashford Dunwoody Road to I-285 eastbound(map)

  • Motorists on Ashford Dunwoody Road southbound should continue on Ashford Dunwoody Road before turning right on to Perimeter Summit Parkway, which turns into Lake Hearn Drive. Motorists should turn right on to Peachtree Dunwoody Road then right on to the ramp to I-285 eastbound

Abernathy Road westbound under SR 400 (map)

  • Motorists traveling on SR 400 northbound to Abernathy Road westbound should exit at Abernathy Road eastbound (Exit 5). Motorists should turn right on to Abernathy Road eastbound then right on to Peachtree Dunwoody Road. Motorists should turn right on to Mount Vernon Highway before turning right on to Mercedes Benz Drive/Barfield Road. Motorists then should turn left on to Abernathy Road westbound.

  • Motorists on Johnson Ferry Road westbound to Glenridge Drive should continue on to Johnson Ferry Road and turn right on to Roswell Road. Motorists should continue on Roswell Road before turning right on to Hammond Drive. Motorists should continue on Hammond Drive to access Glenridge Drive.
  • Motorists on Glenridge Drive to I-285 westbound should continue on Hammond Drive westbound. Motorists should turn left on to Roswell Road before turning right on to the I-285 westbound ramp.
  • Motorists on Glenridge Drive to I-285 westbound should continue on Johnson Ferry Road westbound. Motorists should turn right on to Roswell Road before turning left on to the I-285 westbound ramp.
  • The I-285 eastbound to Glenridge Drive ramp will remain open, but motorists will only be able to turn right off the ramp.
