Student stabbed at Georgia high school

BRUNSWICK — A student at Brunswick High School has been airlifted to a Jacksonville hospital to be treated for injuries from being stabbed at school Monday.

According to the Glynn County School District, the student was stabbed during an altercation with another student int he courtyard of the school. The student accused of the stabbing has been taking into custody and faces both school and criminal charges.

School system officials say the student who was stabbed was responsive at the time of the airlift.

A Code Blue was called due to the stabbing but has been lifted.

No other students or staff members were harmed.
