55-year-old Macon man killed Saturday morning

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a gomicide incident that occurred at the corner of Columbus Road and Helon Street at around 1:21 a.m. Saturday

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s office, 55-year-old Timothy Keith Williams was found with a gunshot wound to what sheriff’s officials call “the lower extremity,” but no further details were given.

Williams was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance and was pronounced dead at about 2:22 a.m. His next of kin has been notified.

This investigation is in its early stages. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
