Arrest made in slaying of 41-year-old Valdosta woman found in woods

ADEL — An arrest has been made in connection with the slaying of 41-year-old Valdosta resident Tenesha Mordon. Mordon’s body was found in a wooded area near Adel Dec. 19.

On Saturday, Dec. 19, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Adel Police Department arrested 32-year-old Lebray Berrian.

According to the GBI, at about 4 p.m., Saturday, the Adel Police Department responded to an address on Birch Street in reference to a 911 call about a body found in a wooded area.When officers arrived, they found Mordon dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Mordon’s body was transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

Berrian was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Murder, one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and one count of Possession of Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, in connection with Mordon’s death. He was booked into the Cook County Jail.
