If you're in a non-injury car accident in Atlanta, don't call the police

ATLANTA — If you get into a car accident in the City of Atlanta and no one is injured, the police will not be dispatched to the accident.

The new policy, announced last week on Facebook, is temporary and is being implemented for the safety of police officers during the coronavirus pandemic.

If you are in a non-injury crash, the Atlanta Police Department has set up a form you can fill out to inform them of the accident. The form, known as SR-13, can be found here.
