Police: A 26-year-old Georgia man asked a group of people to move their car and got shot in the chest

Bibb County authorities say a 26-year-old man was shot in the chest early Saturday morning after asking a group of people to move their car out of the middle of the road.

According to the sheriff’s department, the shooting took place near the intersection of Thomas Street and Houston Avenue. The incident occurred at around 5:16 a.m.

The victim was transported to the hospital by friends. He is listed in stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.

No suspect information is available.
