Second arrest made in connection with Fort Valley State University student's murder

PEACH COUNTY — An additional arrest has been made in connection with the murder of Fort Valley State University Student Anitra Gunn.

According to the GBI, 22 year-old Jaivon Abron has been charged with two counts of false statements and one  count of concealing a death.

The warrants for the two counts of false statements were taken in Valdosta and the warrant for concealing a death has been taken in Peach County. Abron will be booked in the Peach County Jail prior to being transported to Lowndes County. According to the GBI Abron and Demarcus Little — who was charged last week with malice murder — are friends.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at approximately 3:20 p.m., the body of Anitra Lashay Gunn was discovered in a wooded area on Greer Road in Crawford County, Georgia, near the Peach County line. The body was positively identified Feb. 19.
