Motorcycle driver killed in crash on I-75

MACON — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Riverside Drive at the I-75 south on-ramp, at 6:29 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the Sheriff’s Dept., a Honda Civic traveling south on Riverside Drive was making a left turn to get onto I-75 south when it collided with Harley Davidson Motorcycle that was traveling north on Riverside Drive.

The driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and was not taken for treatment.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, 57-year-old William Money, of Macon, was pronounced dead on scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.

The incident is under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time. Anyone with information in reference to this accident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
