Inmate found dead at Forsyth County Jail

On March 3, 2019, Forsyth County Jail Deputies were waking inmates from their cells at 4:30 a.m. for morning breakfast. One inmate failed to respond and was found lying in his bed unresponsive.

Deputies quickly began first aid and medical personnel responded, however the inmate was pronounced dead.

The deceased inmate was identified as Timothy Theodore Weidler, a 40-year-old from Auburn.

Sheriff Ron Freeman requested that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation conduct the death investigation and they arrived at 5:15 a.m. Currently there does not appear to be anything suspicious about Weidler’s death.

The body was transported by the Forsyth County Coroner to the GBI’s Crime lab for an autopsy.

The death investigation is being conducted by the GBI.
