Police arrest two in Brunswick Zone murder investigation

The News: Lilburn Police have made two arrests in the investigation of a murder that occurred outside the Brunswick Zone bowling alley on Lawrenceville Highway in late July. Police are still searching for a third suspect.

The Victim: According to Police, Rahmier Gardner, a 20-year-old Snelville man, died from multiple gunshot wounds outside the bowling alley after he stepped outside while bowling with a group of friends on July 29. At the time of the murder, police did not know the reason he stepped outside and were seeking the public’s help finding suspects.

Over the weekend, police obtained warrants for two people on charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Suspect 1: Geovanni Perez, age 18 of Atlanta was arrested at his home in Northwest Atlanta Sept. 25 by Lilburn detectives at the Atlanta Police Fugitive Unit.

Suspect 2: Khalid Bays, age 18, also of Atlanta was already in custody in Atlanta for the August 2018 murder of Beverly Jenkins.

Suspect 3:  Lilburn Police are also seeking a third suspect who is believed to be a Hispanic female living in southwest Atlanta.
