FBI investigating violent takeover and robbery of bank in Woodbury, Ga.

The Gist: Shortly after noon Wednesday, three suspects entered the United Bank at 33 Jones Mill Road in Woodbury. According to FBI officials, two of the suspects were armed with handguns and the third was armed with an AR-15 rifle. The suspects forced employees to the ground at gunpoint and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The FBI is describing the robbery as a “violent takeover-style robbery.”

The Arrests: The FBI has since arrested two of the suspects. They have been identified as Derrick R. Scott, 26, of Augusta, Ga. and Antavious Bray, 29, of Greenville, Ga.

The Search: The FBI is asking for the public’s help identifying two or more possible suspects and United Bank is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those suspects.

The FBI has released the following descriptions of the remaining suspects: 

One of the unidentified suspects is described as wearing a camouflage ball cap, gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, and carrying a gray backpack. His face was fully covered.

There is no description of the other suspect, who is believed to be the driver of the getaway vehicle, described as a 2010 through 2013 black Chevrolet Impala.
