Police search for suspects in stolen credit card, identity theft case

Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly used a stolen credit card in Lawrenceville and Alpharetta.

According to Gwinnett Police, the window of the victim’s vehicle was smashed late last month while it was parked in a church parking lot. The victim’s purse was stolen and shortly after the theft, the victim’s credit card was used at two Lawrenceville Kroger stores. The first suspect was caught on video at the time the card was used. The fraudulent charges from those two incidents totaled about $1,000.

The day after the theft, a person identifying herself as the victim went into an Alpharetta Wells Fargo and withdrew $9,300 from the victim’s account.

Gwinnett Police detectives need your help identifying two suspects related to a credit card theft case in identify fraud and financial transaction card fraud after the victim’s vehicle was illegally entered.  On May 28 the victim’s vehicle was parked in a church parking lot in unincorporated Lawrenceville.  It was illegally entered by smashing a window.  The victim’s purse and its belongings were stolen; the stolen items totaled over $1200.  Shortly after the theft, the victim’s credit card was used at two different Kroger stores in the Lawrenceville area by Suspect 1.  The fraudulent charges totaled over $1000.

According to Gwinnett Police, the first suspect is described as a black female with black hair. The second suspect is described as a white female with long straight light brown hair, with crooked and/or gapped teeth.
